Calvin played freaking awesome! Wish he didnt have that dumb T at the end, but hey hes a freshmen. The sky is the limit for him.

Re: Godfrey
I said earlier in the year that his upside to me looked like a very good role player, but I didn't think he'd ever score enough to be anything more than an energy rebounder & defender off the bench.
I was wrong. He has come a REALLY long way this season. his finishing around the rim has been outstanding in the last 5 games, he's really learned how to avoid the block and use the glass. His stroke at the FT line is great as well, which makes me think that he'll get more range on his jump shot as he progresses.
I now think he could legitimately be a 16 and 8 type (first or second team Big 12)
player in two years.
I still think he won't start next year, but own the 6th man energy role.

Re: Godfrey
If he doesn't start next year, I could easily see him being the 6th man of the year in the Big 12.

Calvin is a grown-*** man!

Re: Godfrey
We'll see how he does once teams start putting a little more focus on him but he has played way above expectations all season. He'll be a very good starter for us in two years.
Between people saying he'd be a good defensive end and is a smaller Shaq people seeing him before might thing he's gigantic but really he's just an average sized, physical, type power forward we haven't seen in awhile.

Christopherson will rotate in for allen, ejim, and godfrey; we'll need his shooting and quickness.

Re: Godfrey
Calvin Godfrey reminds me how fun it is to see freshmen as they develop (Melvin, too, but Calvin's growth is so dramatic).
That man was absolutely relentlessly not going to lose Senior Night. Kid is a winner, and his attitude is amazing.
I don't care about the technical. I just love that our guys went ahead and broke that press and let Calvin throw that ball down! I love the exclamation point!

I think Chris Babb will start over Ejim. (NOT a knock on Ejim)
But, back to the thread. He was just almost always in the right spot at the right time. I new at the beginning of the year if he was able to have offensive production he was gonna be a best. (EX: tonight!!!) Can't wait to see what this kid can do in the next couple of years!!!

Ok, I'm getting way too pumped about next year. Regardless of who starts, we legitimately have 9-10 players that are capable of playing winning basketball.
I think White and Allen are the only locks to start.
The other 3 will come from Scotty, Godfrey, Ejim, Babb, McGee and Booker. With Bubu and Railey getting some minutes.
We're going to have firepower and athleticism at all 5 positions more times than not.
