Scholarship Situation?

Okay, so we signed 4 when we still had DeMarcus Phillips on the team right?

Cook is going to prep school so his Scholarship is open.

We signed Lucious and he filled Cook's Scholarship.

So what happens to Phillips' Scholarship?

Is it going to Bubu or are there plans to sign another player to this class?

I thought it was odd because the news here in Michigan didn't say anything about signing a letter of intent, they clearly said Financial Aide Paperwork to attend ISU next year.

Also that chart looks scary, unless there is attrition, our 2012 class only has room for two? I can already think of 3 plus Cook I'd like to have in that class.

He'll be on scholarship the next two years.

Also, if we don't lose a single player between now and then, I'll be shocked. Could see McKnight or someone of his ilk transfer. I bet we'll recruit like we have three open for 2012.

Why do people not understand this? When somebody transfers, they do not sign a letter of intent. They get offered a scholarship and they sign the paperwork for wherever they want to go. A scholarship is a "financial aid agreement". Iowa State sent him the offer, and he decided to sign in, therefore enrolling at Iowa State next year.....
