Re: Look at it this way
With the talent we have coming in next year if we go 16-16 I will be at a complete loss for words. I think we make a huge jump next year. We lost 7 games in the last minute this year. If we win only 3 of those, we go 19-13. We had some bad breaks and still had a much better record than anyone expected before the season.
I can't wait to see this system with more talent.

Im actually getting nervous for next year. Garrett is going to be missed so much next year. I really hope between tavon, odunsi and McGee one of those players can really really contribute. We have our team very well set, White, Babb, Allen, Booker, Ejim, Scotty, Godfrey now we just need a PG to run this team. I will never count on freshmen anymore, so i pray that it is McGee. But can McGee drive and create like DG did?

Look at it this way,
If you were told that we would have a .500 season this year before the season started, something that McD didn't do once while he was here, with one senior with lots of playing time, one senior coming off a season-long injury, a transfer senior, Scotty, then freshman and walk-ons, would you have believed it?
I consider this season a success, even with how things ended.

Re: Look at it this way
We need to be worlds better defensively to not be back here singing the 16-16 blues again, next year.
I have high hopes that we will be a greatly improved team on that end of the court.

Re: Look at it this way
This team exceeded a lot of expectations but at the same time it was pretty disappointing because of the 6 or 7 games that they could've gone their way had they executed better the last minute or so of the game. If half of those games go our way there would have been bubble talkbut if this year is any indication of where Fred has the program headed, I think Cyclone fans have a lot to optimistic about.

The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan. -
Re: Look at it this way
I don't think we got a defensive stop that last 4min of the game. That is the problem. Not that DG misses a shot at the end of the game or whatever.
We could not stop CU at the end. Not once. That right there is the ballgame.

I will not be surprised if he continues to see minutes regularly next year. Point guard is not where the strength is shaping up in next year's team so they may very well have to do it by committee.

Just send out White, Godfrey, and Booker for pre-game warm ups and the opposing team will run out of the gym in fear...

I bet Jaime never considered it. I was upset at the time, but ecstatic on how things ended up working.
