I'm sorry but I don't think we reached our potential this year. We can play offense with anyone, but all the leads that we lost at end of games and lack of rebounding and defense that we had was tough to watch. I really think if we were just a little stronger in those areas we would have had 20 wins this year if not more. The thing that stings the most is that all three of those issues have to do with effort and toughness. Thank you to the seniors but I don't think we see a drop off next year like some of you are saying with the loss of DG, JVB, and Jake. I really see an upgrade in talent across the board with next years team.

If we are to be successful next year, these areas must improve or I can see a similar outcome to our season no matter who is on the floor for us.

Back from K.C. It was a great effort by our guys but unfortunately the result was all to familiar. Jake was super human today and glad he went out on a high note. Thanks to all the seniors.

I thought the coaching was outstanding this year considering a new coach, staff and 4 of 7/8 players were freshman plus one walk on. I think the future is bright for MBB here at ISU as we have a head coach that gets it. If you have played basketball, you would know that it takes a lot more effort/energy to play D, than to play offense and that doesn't benefit a short bench. Those that consider this was a poor season based on what our team went through, life is going to be real difficult for you.

Seniors, you will be missed and thank you for playing at ISU!

I disagree with you. They play their hearts out. Who thought we go .500 mark this season when everyone decided to leave the program?

Talent was not our issue this year, it was the depth. Not having enough solid players really hurt us at the end.

I feel bad for the seniors that their efforts were not met with more success. I hope we will have future success and they will be able to take some pride in knowing they were a part of getting it started.

I told a friend at work today that, despite their record, this will go down as one of my all-time favorite Iowa State teams. They gave it everything they had and left it all on the court every single game.

Despite the fast start that led to some unrealistic expectations, looking at the big picture I'm sure a lot of us, myself included, would have happily taken a guarantee of 16 wins before the season started.

I AM PROUD OF THIS TEAM.

I'm proud of this team as well. Obvious holes forced players to play out of position and excessive minutes, but the effort was always there. I think your hard work has set the stage for the return of Hilton Magic.
