Even the announcers during yesterday's game criticized him for standing in the paint and watching it dry instead of working it. You need to realize that by the time a player is at the point JVB was at this year you aren't probably going to massively transform him...If you appreciate the fact that he's going to stretch the defense whether he's on or not, and occasionally give you some rebounds and some small inside presence you won't be disappointed.
He's kind of like the kicker on The Replacements...smokes a pack a day and drinks like a fish away from the game and sometimes give you flashes of brilliance because he's talented but he's not an in-your-face competitor whose whole life revolves around the sport and having himself be in 100% top condition for it

That was the shot that really helped Colorado win the game. He shows moments of brilliance from the paint and can shoot the 3 but his defense it so freaking bad I can't even see past it to see the good at times. Sorry if there are JVB fans out there, but I for one won't miss him. I have not read the entire thread, so pardon me if I am repeating things other people have stated.
First, his 3-point shot could have just as easily gone down instead of bouncing off the rim.
Had the shot gone down, good chance ISU would have won the game. Then he would have been the hero.
Did you post this same thing after his game-winning shot over Creighton?
