JVB consistently lets me down
Idk if this thread has already been created... But he has **** poor boards. And yesterday when Alec Burks took that 2 possible 3 that he got fouled on for and one by DG Jamie took 2 steps back instead of stepping up and contesting the shot. That was the shot that really helped Colorado win the game. He shows moments of brilliance from the paint and can shoot the 3 but his defense it so freaking bad I can't even see past it to see the good at times. Sorry if there are JVB fans out there, but I for one won't miss him.

And next on the adgenda we have feats of strength.

Re: JVB consistently lets me down
Guess I dont understand why someone who is supposedly a fan would call out one of their own...but thats just me I guess. JVB is a true Cyclone who gave it his all, stayed when he could have left, and I will miss him.

I appreciate what he did for the program this year but it seemed like some of the time he didn't want to be out there or got tired to quickly or something. But every game I watched, which was 90% of them, he didn't crash the boards. Even the announcers during yesterday's game criticized him for standing in the paint and watching it dry instead of working it.

Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft. -
Re: JVB consistently lets me down
How many of these threads are needed? We get it - not everybody is a huge JVB fan.

NO WAY THIS TEAM CAN BE FATIGUED!!!
By the way, CY hates you, so please change your handle.

Re: JVB consistently lets me down
IMO it all goes back to the fact that JVB is not the traditional 7'11" basketball player. I think he is mixed between being a forward and a center, everyone want's him to be a center but his skill set isn't the best for that, he's a mix of a forward and a center.
I said in a thread last night every player makes mistakes, including diante and jake. How many games did DG screw up a last second play that could have won it? Bolte routinely get's sucked in when she should slide out and cover the shooter, which she did yesterday and it was a huge mistake that helped kstate start to pull away.
Case and point, no I agree his defense isn't great, he isn't the best rebounder he wasn't the best player but he gave it his all wither you think so or not. It's not easy going through or doing what these players do every day. He made contributions that go un noticed or quickly forgotten. How about that Creighton game?

Still though his lack of effort in-game made me question him at times.

Re: JVB consistently lets me down
JVB is the definition of a role player. I doubt he has ever played as many minutes as he did this year at any level.

Man I wish we had a few more of these 7'11" guys. They are beasts. -
Re: JVB consistently lets me down
Regardless of whether the criticisms are valid or not.. its time to let them go, he'll never play for us again.

Maybe that was his all.

Re: JVB consistently lets me down
I rarely say this type of thing, but to the people jumping on JVB and ripping his play and effort, you are literally ******* morons. Your shortsighted input and contributions are ridiculous and aren't needed at all on this site or in our fan base in general.
