Just for the sake of accuracy, RH was actually the 2nd ranked SMALL forward, which is a horse of a different color.

Given the list of PF's that year, he would have been something like 8th. To anoint him as ISU's "highest rated", when he was a whole one notch higher than Brackens (and Fizer was a Mickey D AA) is perhaps something of a stretch.

BTW--the #1 ranked SF that year, just for comparison's sake, was UT's Jordan Hamilton.

Re: Royce White- The Wait Is Over

Let me preface my questions by saying that I'm excited to see him and the rest of the transfers/newcomers in uniform next season. I think we will have the potential to be an incredibly entertaining team when you mix the talent with CFH's system.

My question is, where/when was this video shot, and why is the 3 pt line at the women's length rather than the men's?

I can assure you that I haven't thought about Tommie King for nearly a decade and I don't know why you bring him up with respect to Royce. TK was never a highly rated recruit. He was just a playground legend out west that fans convinced themselves was a good player.

Yeah Tommie King was a very strange comparison. I'm just impressed someone actually remembered him.

As excited I am for White, Babb, and Allen; I really think people are overlooking Booker. He probably won't put up the numbers that White will, but he will be a nice complement to White down in the post

Thats crazy. Only in 09-10 did our own fanbase even think we had a shot at the tournament.
I hate that this post is so accurate, but I love the amount of reason that went into it. Well, until it made me cry for the state our program has been in the last few years.

Next year will be so much more fun that those other years. This year was fun, next year, much funner!

The bottom line is that next season we will have an actual inside presence. We haven't had that for quite some time and our record indicates that. We got killed on the boards and in points in the paint in the majority of our losses. A true post presence is going to even that out or potentially turn that in our favor. All of this while we add more pieces to the puzzle on the outside. This team could be dangerous next year.

I'm not sure if I'd classify him as an inside presence. Maybe. Jiri was really the last low post scorer we had.

Craig wasn't physical enough to match up against some of the Big 12's better post players (especially the guys that KU and Texas had last year).

Maybe it's just me. If I had to blame just one player for how bad the 2001-2002 season was, it would be Tommie King. That season was a trainwreck and I think the bad effects from it have lingered for most of the last 10 years.

Maybe I didn't watch very closely because I remember him scoring quite a bit in the paint
