Uh 2 of the big 3 in the KC area lost already. Not to mention, ISU was the worst team in the conference this year. It's not a shocker that not many ISU fans were in KC this year.

Moving the tournament to starting on wednesday has to be killer for attendance. A lot easier work-wise to take a thurs-sun trip than a Wed-Sat, especially when you could be knocked out the first day. (hard to take 3 or 4 days off work for the potential of having your team knocked out early and a relatively poor trip after that). Im sure more that lose on weds head home instead of sticking around for the weekend like they would after a thursday loss.
