I would take a Kevin Love on this team. How much more effectively would this year's team have been at getting out on fast breaks if they had had a big guy down there that loved pulling down rebounds?

Not trying to jinx anything, but it sounds like this kid really wants to come to ISU.

You would take a consensus first-team All-American as a freshman? That's bold. I'm not sure I would. Seems like a reach.

I can't take any story about a recruit seriously without a star rating. How many stars, CW? HOW MANY!!!!!!

Fran has offered and he seems to have a decent eye.

Best case scenario: Niang brings along his teammate, Nerlens Noel, who is one of the best center prospects to come along for awhile. Noel is a 6-10 soph.

If his eyes are so good, why does he wear glasses?

Re: BASKETBALL RECRUITING: 2012 prospect Georges Niang to visit ISU

I know some folks weren't super happy about Niang after the video that was posted of him dunking. He appeared to not have a lot of hops, but you don't always have to jump out the gym to be a very good college player.

Look no further than Fizer. He couldn't jump that well and wasn't super fast, but was fluid and quick to turn.

Just for everyone reading this, this is the #6 player in the nation. Nerlens Noel - Yahoo! Sports

I'm going to doubt that that kid comes to ISU unless The Mayor does some serious work.

This... Niang will be a nice addition and if he comes in and loves his time at ISU, perhaps he and Noel are close and he can pass the word along...

I witnessed Fizer's heals hitting the back of the backboard after ducking so he didn't crack his skull on it. Have to disagree both on his ups and speed.
