That was pretty funny. I think he spent the entire day coming up with different names to make fun of the Big East.

Pitino is so arrogant too.. after watching that, the notre dame embarrassment is so much more enjoyable.. I hope he and barkley work the next game together.
He was 100% right. Like Bilas said about VCU: the debate about who does or doesn't belong in the tournament ends once the games start. Marquette winning doesn't mean they should have gotten into the tournament to begin with. Once the games start, anything can happen. 7-8 teams would have been about right, and a few of those teams should have gotten 9-11 seeds. The Big East was hugely over-seeded. Eight were seeded as a #6 or better, and UCONN was the only one to make it past the first weekend. Pathetic.
The Big Ten got a lot of hype this year, and I agree that it was overrated. But the 7 teams who got in, earned a spot (with the possible exception of MSU). But they were seeded where they should have been. Seven teams in, and four of them were seeded as a 8-10 seed, which is all they deserved. And they played very well, all four of those teams (Purdue was just embarrassing).
As overrated as the Big Ten was coming into the year, they've outperformed the Big East in the tournament, by a long shot. The Big East is the most overrated conference in the nation (at least the Big Ten hype will go away).

The Big East has been considered the best conference in basketball for the past 5 - 10 years by the media, coaches, etc. Yet they havent won it all since 2004 I believe.

I don't know if I would say "by a long shot." Both have 2 teams in the sweet sixteen and the Big East knocked out two of their own teams in head to head matchups. No doubt the Big East has underperformedQuote:
