Derrick Williams Vs. Royce White
Who would win? Who has seen a practice with Royce in the mix? Is he the same type of player? Does he have the same skill set? I guess I was really impressed with Williams and have never seen Royce play. Maybe I am a bit hopeful, dare I say optimistic, that we will have talent like that on the floor next year...
Any insight would be excellent. Thanks in advance!

Re: Derrick Williams Vs. Royce White
We can only hope Royce White is as good as D-Will.

Re: Derrick Williams Vs. Royce White
If Royce is anywhere near Williams than we are in good shape next year.

Re: Derrick Williams Vs. Royce White
I'm assuming considering that Williams is a lottery pick, he'd destroy White.
Also, I doubt White shoots about 60% from behind the arch...

Re: Derrick Williams Vs. Royce White
I just know a lot of people rip and roar because we do not have a "true post" player lined up (yet) for next year, but Arizona, Kansas, And UConn have all made it deep in the tourney with a bunch of very talented 6-8 to 6-10 players that have skills like Williams. If White and Booker are as talented as many people claim, I am not worried about next year when we couple them with Godfrey and Ejim. I just haven't actually seen them play so I am hoping someone can give me an idea where they would line up or compare to some other players out there.

Re: Derrick Williams Vs. Royce White
Just not a fair comparison right now. Williams is a top player in college basketball. Royce appears to have the talent to be really, really good. No one will know how good until he can hit the court and prove it.

Re: Derrick Williams Vs. Royce White
I hope he has a similar style of game as Williams, but it gonna be hard for him to be as good. Williams is gonna be a top 3 pick.

Will there be a Royce White vs. Amare Stoudemire post coming later?

Have we compared Royce to Bill Russell yet?

Re: Derrick Williams Vs. Royce White
Derrick Williams was the lowest regarded (and rated) player in Arizona's 5 commit class in '09. He was a 3 star 6'7", 210# power forward, and he didn't commit until the end of June. He wasn't ranked by Rivals, although he had several offers from major conference schools, his offer list wasn't tremendous.

Whoa - I heard tonight that Williams was a Tim Floyd recruit at USC, until the chit hit the fan.
TF sure can recruit!
+ Marcus Fizer
+ Mike Nurse
+Kelvin Cato
+ Tim Hardaway
etc, etc, etc
