May my postings be polite and not misunderstood. (And hopefully funny on occasion.) -

Your reasoning for it was weak though.

Re: McRoy, Iowa State parting ways
You mean people on an ISU message board sided with Fred freaking Hoiberg? This should come off as a surprise?

Honestly, they probably shouldn't have an all-white staff, so I'd be looking for the best minority candidate I could find. Look for either an assistant at some smaller university with a kid looking to transfer or a head coach of a really good high school or prep school or AAU team. Might as well use the opening to add someone to the team. Off subject a little, but what happened with Geoffrey? Retiring?

The guy has been great for ISU, the best president we've had since I've been associated with ISU, and that goes back to Parks. I hope we can replace him with someone as good.

Thanks for the info...He's the only one I've really liked since Parks...I thought he was good too but I mainly had a student perspective when he was here and you realize what little you know once you leave/graduate.

Oh, I think it's fine to have an opinion. I'm just wondering why you felt the need to post 13 different comments from other people supporting McRoy's hire earlier in this thread in order to prove your point, whatever that might be. That's why I jokingly asked if he stole your lunch money, since you do come off as obsessive in your contempt for McRoy.
But now that I'm asking about it, what's your beef with McRoy anyway?

Re: McRoy, Iowa State parting ways
anyone else think Fred may go nonconventional and hire someone with NBA ties for this opening?
-
Re: McRoy, Iowa State parting ways
Ya it will be interesting to see if he goes for an NBA guy, another hardcore recruiter like TJ, or a Juco recruiter like McRoy.
To be honest, I would prefer to not get a Juco specialist and get one of the other two types.
