Yeah, you would think the NCAA could take 10 minutes out of its day for something like this, or at least film it and play it back during a break in the action.
Anyway.......great job Freddie!

I think it's just part of what you say now.
I think it's a fantastic idea, but you're right in saying that there sure doesn't seem to be a lot of publicity for it. You'd think they could do some work and sell Hoiberg's almost-perfect record and his heart condition. It's a phenomenal story that they could tell right there.

Re: On to the Finals!!
They're afraid that it'll go to a tie-breaker and Fred will hit 200 in a row just to show everyone up

Re: On to the Finals!!
If they have it at half-time, Fred would make so many it would delay the start of the second half for two hours.....

This could be a very real possibility as to why they decided against it....minus the two hours part. After seeing Fred shoot the 100 and something in a row to beat Alford (still happy about that whipping ) they might be afraid that it could possibly cause a delay to the beginning of the second half if it were to again go into sudden death.

Re: On to the Finals!!
College Insider has done an average job promoting this to fans and the media.
Sure, the schools involved have some awareness of what's going on, but considering the subject (heart disease) and the direct impact it has on millions of lives, they should be peddling this like crazy to ESPN, Fox, Westwood One, CBS, etc. Especially considering one of the finalists has a pacemaker.
And how in the world are they raising money? If you go to the website, there is no way to make an online donation -- you have to mail a check. Come on, this isn't 1970.
The irony that a dot com is the main sponsor and can't put up an online form is almost too much to handle.

Re: On to the Finals!!
If Fred wanted to have this competition at the Final Four, maybe he should have lied to the NCAA and told them he was an assistant at KU rather than the head coach at ISU. Re: On to the Finals!!
Anyone hear an update on this? I thought he was shooting at halftime.
