Nailed it. Win immediately with transfers, get Hilton rocking (even more than last season), send a couple players to the NBA and watch the high school talent come rolling in. Risky, but no less so than trying to build through high school players right off the bat and hoping that fans have enough patience for a four or five year rebuilding plan. CFH has to win now and try to capitalize on the energy surrounding the program.
I'm glad at least some people understand that we're not going to be just going after transfers for the rest of The Mayor's era! Good Blog!
I get what youre saying and agree but I for one hope Freddie is always willing to take the best available players. I could care less if its a transfer, juco or a high school kid. My fear is that if next year doesn't pan out the way people think that everyone will be too quick to throw the transfers/strategy under the bus.
The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan.

I think you have to at least give Fred the next two seasons to really see if this transfer thing is a good idea. He is really set up the next two seasons because of the transfers and if fails miserably than maybe he should look into a new strategy. If it works out and we make the tournament twice then hopefully our stock will be higher and we will be able to go after some top 100 talent.
