So, are you going to go ahead an pencil in our weekend visitor on the scholarship chart, or wait until Friday to do it?

Gotta love the recruiting ties, Michigan and New York, great work!

Cornell is a ridiculously cool guy. I met him and hung out with him a couple of times when he was an assistant at Central Michigan University, as one of my best friends was a manager for the CMU basketball team as well as a roommate of Mann's. Super nice guy and he's a big dude too. Could easily pass for an ex-football player.

Yippee. Michigan recruiting ties. Michigan isn't the place that comes to mind when I think of "fertile basketball recruiting grounds."

Does the term "Flintstones" ring a bell. It should.

Might want to do a little more research. Izzo has been to more final fours than pretty much any coach out there in the last 10 years and usually over 50% of his schollys go to Michigan players. There are more D-1 Recruits in JUST the Detroit area schools than the whole state of Iowa on a typical basis, and there are a lot of guys that come out of Lansing, Saginaw, Flint, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. It's a great recruiting hire.

Jonny Orr built this program with Michigan players and I think it is a great move by Fred to make Michigan a priority again. I am also excited by Abdelmassih's NY connections. If we can get one or two Stinson's or Tinsely's a year I would be happy!
Does anyone know how Mann is with the X and O's? It seems like Bobby was that guy last year and Mann must be filling that role since he has more coaching experience than anyone else on the staff. I thought we were always stratigically well prepard last year and I hope there isn't a big drop off.
