I don't get it. How is eiu hoks not on the list? I mean, we are attached at the hip with them according to local media, and fran is as good as Fred, and he had a better first year, and we are both in the same boat with where our programs are at. How could they not be on the list right beside us?

I dont wish him ill at Creighton, as i dont care about Creighton... but he drug ISU to the bottom of college basketball, and was terrible as a leader here... we didnt make the CBI, NIT, NCAA, or have a even close to respectable finish in conference one time he was here... so i understand the not wanting to see his name pop up. Same as the Chiz, he didnt do anything terrible here. Only thing he did was take his dream job. We dislike him because he won -20 games while here, and left without a goodbye... which im not sure i wanted one given how craptastic we were with him.

We do now however have the two best coaches ISU could ever have. I wouldnt trade either one for any other coach in the country. Iowa guys, that love this state, and love to teach, and WIN! so we should do everything in our power to keep them as to not have to endure another decade of McD's and Chiz's...

This is an old account that I don't use anymore (didn't even know it was still active until I tried using it last night)... my normal account is WaverlyCy, but my youngest son ripped the "W" off my keyboard last night and I couldn't get the key to respond. However, I've got it fixed now... this was probably a one and done for the jschulz account.

Re: Cyclones on the rise in 2011-2012

I noticed Cal on the list, and that got me wondering about the Pac10 series. Do we know who we play this year? We should have a new opponent this year (probably away from Ames if they continue on that trend.) Has this been announced and I missed it, or has anyone heard any rumors?

The Pac10 admitted to setting up and using the basketball series as a way to get close to Texas/OU and attempt to persuade them to jump conferences. I doubt you'll see much dealings between the B12/P12 anytime soon.
