Cyclones on the rise in 2011-2012
Sorry, if this has been posted already, but I didn't see it anywhere. Looks like Rivals is giving Iowa State some more love listing them as one of their teams on the rise in 2011-2012:

Let's hope their right. Either way, glad to see the positive press surrounding next year's team. Twice in one week we made the Yahoo (Rivals) Sports front page! I like this trend.

Gotta love positive exposure!!
Re: Cyclones on the rise in 2011-2012
Is it just me or are other people happy to see Creighton on that list as well? Greg didn't do anything bad at ISU, he just never did anything good. I want him to succeed at Creighton.
Re: Cyclones on the rise in 2011-2012
Creighton on this list doesnt bother me at all. Nevertheless, I could care less if McDermott succeeds or doesn't succeed.

The fact that he never did anything good was a bad thing.

I don't want another Chizik situation. (Former coach who leaves program does elsewhere what he couldn't do here.) Always had respect for McD but I would certainly not enjoy seeing him have success at Creighton.

Listed in Rivals is good, but we really have only one way to go and that is up. I hate winter but I wish it was December all ready.

It was, but it did bring home the Mayor, so it's a net positive.

He ran the program in the ground. He couldn't keep players, and lucky for us, Hoiberg has quickly turned the program around by taking risks with transfers and by bringing in highly over qualified assistant coaches (Lutz). Had Hoiberg not done this, it would have taking at least 3-4 years to righten the ship. I wish nothing but failure on McDermott.

McDermott was without our worst head basketball coach our basketball program ever had. Wayne Morgan would be a distant second for the worst award. McDermott blows!!!

Ugh, Baylor. Anyone else annoyed with their ability to pull in top talent?
