Railey
So he is suspended indefinitely. Do you think Hoiberg is just waiting to see if he can find a better player to fill his scholarship? If he does he will kick him off the team and if he doesn't he keeps him?

However, he might be waiting to see how he finishes up with school and whether he stays out of trouble, and the offseason condition is probably running him alot too.
Every time a player is arrested, after the arrest they are "suspended indefinitely." Basically, it means they haven't determined the final punishment yet.

Re: Railey
He would have been dismissed already if that was happening.

Re: Railey
I highly, highly doubt Hoiberg would do something like that. They're probably just giving him time to see how he behaves before they determine the length of his suspension.

Re: Railey
I really think he should redshirt this season. 1) Gives him time to get his life straightened out and focus on school, 2) develop his basketball game and strength/conditioning, 3) give some more class balance.

I like JR and we need him, but the kid needs to be booted. One offense is bad, but two is unacceptable.

He is always looking for better talent. He has recurited over players already. He also talks to Floyd a lot and get pointers from him.

I wish it was not this way at the major conference level but you simply CANNOT hold a scholly on a marginal player for 5 years. You just can't. You gotta free that baby up as soon as you can for hopefully a better player. Get em here- develop them as best you can and get em graduated (we hope-wish it could be more of a priority).
Does not always work as we well know but that is the business today.
