I think a few of you would be apt to boot someone out of the program if he were to sneeze in the wrong direction. So he drank a little too much and drove, it happens - all the damn time actually. Wake me up when he kills a hooker, then there might be an issue.

Is this a first offense? If so, its not a pattern of behavior, not something we should fire the guy for. Consequences (financial if possible), and made clear it will be the last time.

Mike Haywood was dismissed from Pitt, about 1 week after he was hired because he hit his wife...Tim Welsh got hired at Hofstra to be the HC last year....had an OWI and was canned before he even coached a game....this guy should be gone

This guy is a 34-year-old man. And he's still going out at night and getting royally ****-faced (.17 BAC isn't "a little too much to drink") and then driving? Grow up already. That is PATHETIC. It's a question of immaturity and stupidity and definitely cause for immediate dismissal.

If this is a first offense I don't think he should be let go. He made a mistake, he is going to have to deal with it, and he will be a damn good coach to have on the staff.

No one in the world is perfect and he shouldn't be fired.
