Re: John Lamb arrested
He is gone, but who really cares. He was a walk-on who wasn't going to play.
It is actually good for Hoiberg, because he can kick someone off the team and look tough while at the same time not hurting the team.

I know John is real close with the transfers. You kick John off the team but let Railey get by with an OWI and a public intox you run the risk of setting a double standard and upseting the players who are close with John. I think Coach Hoiberb is really walking a tight rope on this one.

One was consuming a "legal" substance. One was manufacturing an "illegal" substance. I can see a difference.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly see the difference, but I'm saying those who are a friend of John's on the team could get upset that Railey gets 2 chances to John's one.

No idea if thats true, just something I've heard.

Re: John Lamb arrested
Multiple sources are telling me that Lamb hasn't been a part of the Iowa State men's basketball program for months now. After last season, it was known by both parties that Lamb wouldn't be a part of the program going forward. That includes the 2011-12 Iowa State men's basketball season.
So yes, a former Iowa State walk-on did get arrested last night. But no, a current member of the men's basketball program didn't.

Re: John Lamb arrested
Chris says he wasn't with teamsue to academics. Still rings hollow.

Re: John Lamb arrested
Well, it looks like we don't have to worry. He wasn't even part of the team. I just can't believe he forgot to pay taxes on his drugs.

Re: John Lamb arrested
The Ames Tribune is now echoing my above report. You can't kick a guy off the team, if he isn't on the team.

Re: John Lamb arrested
Sounds like he REALLY was working on his academic issues per Chris.
