According to the RecruitScoop he has withdrawn from the draft and apparently is considering texas, Oregon, San Diego State and Xavier

Well that sucks for us.

I asked him about us and he said his brother told him were not in the running anymore. Oh well, bank the scholarship at this point.

Hopefully he opts for the west coast. If we can't have him, I certainly don't want to be in a situation where we have to play against him at least twice next season.

If fellow Canadian Cory Joseph withdraws from the Draft, I bet Olu ends up at Texas.

Well 0-2 on remaining targets with one option left it would appear.

if the truth be known it would not surprise me that we only had one target the last 3 weeks and he is still there. I would say we are probably in the final 2 or 3 for him and might factor on something else now.

How can we have only one target in the last three weeks when somebody we offered within that time frame just told us "no"?

Because maybe we told him no first? We might have offered him a scholarship on the condition the guy we want the most says no.

Who's the guy we want more?

I have no inside info or anything, but I have a hard time believing that Fred didn't want Olu. Maybe we stopped recruiting heavily if they realized we weren't in it, but it seems like he would fit so well with our team and with our scholarship situation that its difficult to think we wouldn't go after him.

I'm assuming you are talking about Gibson here. What leads you to believe this? Last I knew a myriad of schools are after his services, and he's barely narrowed down his list if at all.

This isn't overly suprising. His handler (read: brother) has been making assertions all along that he wants Olu in a program where he is going to be the go-to guy and the star of the team so he can "truly showcase his talent" for NBA scouts. That wasn't going to be the case at ISU. I'd be willing to bet on Oregon as the place he lands.
