Re: Monday Musings - May 9, 2011
Chris, if Mark Turgeon left for Maryland, do you think Texas A&M would hire Billy Gillispie again?

He literally just got there and they are the one program that gave him a chance after his debacle at Kentucky.

Re: Monday Musings - May 9, 2011
On one hand, I wouldn't want to see Turgeon leave for Maryland, as I don't like seeing the Big 12 lose good coaches (REALLY wish we would have pursued Turgeon hard after Morgan was fired), but at the same time if he does leave that would make 4 openings in the off-season for the conference (Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M) and all that "turmoil" could create some openings for us to move up in the pecking order.
Here's a crazy thought; if this does go down, after only one season CFH could be right in the middle in terms of conference tenure. Interesting.

For college bball coaches and players. Nothing lasts very long.

I have not seen any info elsewhere on Gibson and ISU other than Indiana, Iowa and some other programs being interested.

I'm having a heck of a time getting a hold of Percy but will keep trying.

Sorry Chris, I have been in a time warp this spring, I had forgot Billy Gillispie had got a job this spring.
Sorry for the mistake. The Republicans and Democrats fighting over who should pay for the deficit, is like two drunks on the Titanic arguing over who should pay the bar tab. -

I'm with you on The Voice Chris. I'm definitely not an idol fan, but ive really liked this show. Some great performances, and the blind auditions went really well. Loved how you could see some of their performances just take off after they got the boost of confidence from someone picking them.
They definitely picked some crappy ones though, and left out a couple that deserved it (Sonia Rao for one, despite getting 2 chances)

Really like the title Monday Musings. Keep it coming - we need all the musings on a Monday.
With better talent on our team, it may hurt some of our recruiting because it is about PT. You can never go after enough peopole to fill your roster.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Per ESPN - Turgeon get MD offer
