Okoro is the top target IMO. I bet we get him. Not sold that the Arizona and Pitt want him as there first choice while Iowa State is making him known he is wanted by us.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

    Re: Notebook: Scholarship chart/recruiting nuggets

The top prospect to watch from here on out is likely St. Raymond (N.Y.) shooting guard Nkereuwem Okoro. Iowa State assistant coach Matt Abdelmassih has been ruthlessly recruiting Okoro since getting the job last month.
Is it just me or does ruthlessly seem like a bad word choice? I think I might have used something like relentlessly instead.

Yeah, Chris probably spelled relentlessly wrog and spellchecker switched it over on him.

Probably a good call. I changed the wording.

As "ruthless" means "without pity or compassion; merciless," I don't mind the use of the word if it pertains to other recruiters going after our guy. A bit harsh, perhaps, but more likely closer to the truth re: what actually happens in recruiting.

What about Elgin Cook? I know he's going to a prep school next year, but is he still on ISU's radar for the 2012 class?

Unless I am interpreting your chart incorrectly, I think you mixed up Tavon Sledge's position with Anthony Booker's. It looks like you said Booker is a guard while Sledge is a forward, which is opposite of what is the case.

I was wondering the same thing. I would think we have a leg up on recruiting him since he already committed to us once. I would hate for him to blow up and end up playing for Texas, Baylor, etc.
