According to twitter PG Aaron Law for Tilton School will be joining Georges Niang at Iowa State as a walk on. Thoughts....?

He's a walk on. Don't really care that much I guess. If we actually end up needing him to play then that means bad things have happened and then I care.

He's a hip shooter which makes it hard to get shots off at the D-1 level. Drives well, but not sure on his quickness. He will have work to do to get PT.

Or he can help in practice...like 95% of the nation's other walk ons.

I looked into this guy when this first came out. Law is actually pretty good. He is kinda like Bubu in that he is probably good enough to play at the college level somewhere. I'm not sure he is D-1, B12 Caliber though; which is why he is walking on. It doesn't cost us anything and if he pans out that's great and if it doesn't ok too. Besides, he's buddies with Niang. That describes Bubu to a T doesn't it; but Bubu's buddy, mister you know who, went to UNC. Niang didn't go to UNC he came here ... sweet.

1. You found an exceptionally rare diamond in the rough.
2. You're recruiting scholarship management sucks soooo bad your walk ons are better than scholarship players.
3. Even more rare than #1 is that team with a walk on playing making the NCAA dance from the Big 12.
...and OP asked for thoughts. Those are mine. He's a walk on who will be used on the practice squad and dress for home games. That's about it. No use discussing if he'll be a guard getting much minutes in a few years.
