Olu commits to Oregon
Per TheRecruitScoop/his brother.
Olu Ashaolu, a Louisiana Tech transfer, has landed at Oregon, per his brother. He will have one year of eligibility.

This isn't a surprise as we were trimmed off of his top 3 or 4 awhile back.

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
Excellent news IMO. It's been clear for awhile that he wasn't coming to ISU, so let's just be glad that he didn't choose Texas.

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
Great that he didn't go anywhere that will affect us

Really glad he didn't choose Texas

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
Is there an echo in here?

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
adding Gibson reduces the need we had for Olu. Olu might have been better in the short term, but Gibson is hopefully a solid 4 year player. I'm fine with how things turned out.

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
Oregon probably presented the best opportunity for him to get NBA worthy statistics scoring 23 points a game on about 8-25 shooting.

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
Always got the notion that Olu wanted to go somewhere where he would be the go-to-guy in an attempt to increase his draft stock. Not suprised in the least that he ended up at Oregon, was definitely his best opportunity to be the alpha on a team.

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
My question is, how much is Phil Knight shelling out to players to improve football and basketball programs. First it was the football team rising. Now they are pulling in top bball recruits like Jabari Brown, they have a top 25 recruiting class this year and somehow Oregon popped on the list of schools for Deandre Daniels at the last second. Or is Dana Altman really that appealing?

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
I'm kinda surprised he didn't end up at SDS; but I think we've been out of it for awhile now.

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
Sounds like Texas is going to end up with DeAndre Daniels, who will probably be better than Olu.

Re: Olu commits to Oregon
Based on what Olu has put out there for tweets in the last hour, it's a good thing maybe he didn't commit to ISU. ISU would not want to have to explain them. He's having quite the outburst... For some reason.
@O_Ash
Its kind of weird since normally tweets once a day or something...
