LOL

Re: FIVE Questions: With Georges Niang
The thing that jumps out to me on his highlight video is his ability to use both hands. He's got a nice little jump-hook to the baseline on each block with the outside hand.....if he can learn to elevate with that a little more, it will be VERY difficult to defend.
Also, he also appears to be able to bang around down low, but still has a nice finger roll.

It's great to hear that Georges is happy to be part of the Cyclone family and I'm looking forward to watching his game develop under Fred and company.

The baby hook with both hands is impressive. He doesn't hesitate to finish with either hand. He isn't flashy, but he'll put up 20 points on you before you know it.

Guys with his positivity and charisma are good recruiters for te program - now and when he's here. Hopefully other potential recruits are seeing some of the quotes he's putting out. Its good marketing.

His moves down low in this video remind me of a guy (opponent) that I hated "Big Country Bryant Reeves" of OSU. Nothing is fancy and you would think it should all be simple to stop. Yet, as another poster inferred, "before you know it the guy has hung 20 points on you."
Unlike Big Country, Georges appears to also have some range and outside shooting potential.

Unlike Big Country, Georges appears to also have some range and outside shooting potential. I agree there are some similarities between the two, primarily that both are post players. However, Reeves was 7' tall and almost impossible to deny post position due to his weight/size. He was far more limited in his post moves, primarily turning around for a short hook/bank shot from the block. Niang will be more versatile and has quicker footwork. He won't be able to post up as readily in college, which is why he needs to work on getting stronger/gaining weight. Then again, you can say that about almost any incoming freshman.
Excited to have his potential on the team.
