Scott Christopherson Gets Some Respect.
From the Columbia Daily Tribune: Breaks down the 12 best returning players in the Big 12. Scott is listed twelfth. -
Re: Scott Christopherson Gets Some Respect.
He deserves it. I'm glad they recognized the amount of time he was forced to play too. I think he can be even more effective with just a little more rest.

Re: Scott Christopherson Gets Some Respect.
He didnt just shoot from outside. He is getting braver with driving to the hoop as well.

Re: Scott Christopherson Gets Some Respect.
Very good offensive player and great shooter. He'll always struggle a little on D because of his size. I think he will be better off playing 25-30 mins a game this season than last year when he had to play the whole time and battled some elbow problems.

??? Scotty is 6'3" and 200lbs...its not like every SG in the b12 is 6'7" 230....

Re: Scott Christopherson Gets Some Respect.
If Laurence Bowers is the 8th best player in this conference, this conference is going to be really bad.

Good article. More research than the Oklahoma piece.

I don't care what Scottie is listed at, I have two working eyes, and I can see he is smaller/slower than most of the guys he covers in Big 12 play. I think he is more like 6-1 or 6-2 than 6-3, but regardless, he will cover alot of SGs who are more athletic than he is.
Alright, I'll fix it for you... he will struggle on D because of his size/lack of quickness relative to most Big 12 SGs.

Re: Scott Christopherson Gets Some Respect.
he is a defensive reliability because he is not quick enough

And last year he wasn't even good enough to even play in a major conference.... -

Re: Scott Christopherson Gets Some Respect.
It excites me to think about Scotty, Allen, Babb and McGee shooting 3's. They should be well rested by the time you factor in Ejim, Sledge and Bubu. That is some serious outside shooting firepower. We have the athletes that Fred needs to run, which should open up plenty of 3's.
The bottom line is that if Royce, Booker, Railey and Percy can play some D, grab some boards and put in some buckets in the paint, we're going to be very tough to defend.
