Excellent news. Glad he committed to the good guys! Love NYC guards.
Hopefully the good news doesn't stop here. Love this.
Whooooooooooooooo
Hoooooooooooooooo!
I love seeing this from recruiting guru Alex Kline:
Note the word "amazing" there...Quote:
@therecruitscoop: ISU's Fred Hoiberg already has amazing '12 class featuring Georges Niang of Boston & now Nkereuwem Okoro of New York.
From what I read awhile ago it seemed that a few bigger schools backed off last year because of an injury and his outside shot weren't great, but it sounds like he has been working a lot on his shot lately and that is why Pitt got back in on him. I think we have gotten two huge steals in Niang and Okoro.
I've been following this kid for a couple of years as he has been coming up through the ranks. I'm not much of a guy to get my hopes up, this is Iowa State after all, but this kid is good guys... really, really, good. This class is going to be a great one.
This totally just made my day.
Hey Chris is this what you hinted at in your Monday Musings or could we see even more recruiting news this week?
Now that he's committed, I hope he will help recruit this guy for us.

Iverson has a top 3 of Kentucky, Syracuse, & UConn.
I think it's awesome that he's not doing AAU and he's just going to focus on working on his game. It shows a real commitment to ISU and to getting better. I cannot wait for the future of this program.
Since being hired last April, Hoiberg has put out the dumpster fire that he inherited and signed the following players: Anderson, Booker, Babb, McGee, Lucious, Clyburn, White, Sledge, Gibson, Niang, and Okoro.
Holy crap, I don't think there's anyway we could've expected this. I can't wait until he has a winning record to point to when recruiting.
