Well that's good. Do you think that maybe late in the draft, teams just pass on guys they know have a chance because they are set at the position and don't want to waste the prospects time?

Diante will likely sign somewhere and go to a mini-camp until the lockout starts on July 1. I'll know more about the situation tomorrow.

Guaranteed money in what way?

He gets the NBA minimum even if he doesn't make the team?

And how are they doing such when they don't even know what the pay scale will be?

IMO this is much much much better than getting selected at the end of the second round. It lets DG decide which team he has the best chance of making instead of being bound to someone.

Looks like the NBA owners will try to cut NBA salaries 10-20% so they were not too enthused to take more than one round of picks.

I'm sure he'll have options. My money says he'll end up overseas for a year. That was likely going to be the case even if his name would have been called tonight.

I hope he lands in Phoenix. Steve Nash would be a great teacher.
And Phoenix worked out pretty well for another ex-Cyclone named Jeff Hornacek.

DG not getting drafted in the last 10 picks is bad for ISU recruiting (or I guess just not good, we were kind of playing with house money), but it is probably good for DG in the long run.
