Good for Scotty. He worked hard to get there.

Re: College Basketball's Best 3-Point Shooters
This article really makes me wonder why didn't Scotty get the ball more at the end of games last year? It's too late now, but I'd rather see him jack up a 25ft shot than a turnover.
I predict a huge year out of him this year, I could honestly see him shooting 50% on the year from long range.

Pretty impressive list IMO.

Hoiberg's system is setup perfectly for getting him open. Pick and pops, not too mention the 1 on 4 and 1 on 5 situations that DG was drawing after teams realized he was our guy.
I do agree though he's not a guy that creates his own space. If he improves on that he would be unstoppable.

jason king writes so many "list" articles that at current pace he'll be writing a top 10 "best rebounding left handed 3-men" column next month.

In a perfect world I am sure Hoiberg wants this too, but you think any well coached team is just going to let Scotty just shoot?
If our new PGs don't step up this year, you are going see how important DG was to this team last year. Yeah he had some bad TOs, but I wanted the ball in his hands because he was one of, if not the only one, who could create his own shot.

Tremendous 3pt shooter though.

Cal game maybe, I may be wrong but I know FH called a TO and set up a shot for him in one of the early season games. He knocked it down. I would've liked to have seen more of that last year as well.

Originally Posted by Clones85' Really hard to get him a shot at the end of the game. He can't create his own shot very well so that limits what we can do It doesn't necessary limit what we can do. His ability to make long bombs def creates more space for other inside players to do their jobs because Scotty attracts so much defense. EVERY Championship caliber team needs player like Scotty. Look at Florida few years back, Lee Humphrey wasn't strong, fast, or crafty, but he had ability to make long bombs when they needed him to do so... Scotty is def THAT guy, but quicker and little more craftier.
Having him and Chris Babb (who can create his own long range shots) are HUGE asset to our team next year. Having both of them on the floor at same time? Just so exciting.

I agree with this part, we had no one else to take pressure off of SC as the "shooter". In his defense he really improved his ability to create, the just struggled to finish at times. With that said, its on the coaching staff to run sets that give him chances to knock down shots. You've got to coach to your strengths.
