Italy and Recruiting
It is my understanding that foreign trips are allowed only once every 4 years. Don't know how long this trip has been planned but it may have helped in the recruitment of Sledge and Gibson, and maybe some of the transfers. Seems like a great recruiting tool as these kids should just love a trip to Europe. Maybe Jamie and Fred have the next one in the works, but if not should schedule one in 4 years and Fred would have 3 or 4 classes to recruit to the trip.

Honestly, parts of Europe are ok, but in general it sucks IMO. I'd rather be in the US anyday, but hopefully they still enjoy the trip. I would bet there will be some on the team that would prefer not to go though.

Disagree 100%, but to each their own. Only opinions after all. Originally Posted by isuno1fan Honestly, parts of Europe are ok, but in general it sucks IMO. Re: Italy and Recruiting
I'll make my home in the US my whole life. But I'd love to visit Europe yearly if possible. If any player doesn't want to go, theyre crazy. Especially at their age.

Who wouldn't be excited.
I agree with you about staying in the USA. There are so many things to see here.....
Have some older friends who take a Carnival Cruise every other year--primarily to show off the wife's fake boobs and drink for a week on a boat with other drunks. They are clueless about the country we live in
--what a waste. The caribbean gets old after awhile. I rather travel to North Minnesota in the summer, or drive the Pacific Coast HWY in Cali, or head out east to some historical site, or up to Oregon or Washington

Agree absolutely. I would love to be able to go to Europe every year. Absolutely no comparison to the U.S. as far as culture, history, architecture, museums, wines, etc.

Re: Italy and Recruiting
There are parts of Europe I would love to visit but I have no interest in a lot of places to. If you watched the Fab Five, those guys didn't enjoy the trip very much. I don't know how our team will feel obviously but if I were being recruited, a trip to Italy probably isn't going to make a difference to me. That's just me though.
I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU
Or so I have read. -

Italy is great for the food alone. Never had a bad meal there.

I'm not trying to be difficult, it comes naturally....
