Re: ***Championship Night at the YMCA CCL***
Babb went 7-13 from three point range in the final, not 7-23. His percentage dropped a little but it wasn't that crazy :)

You have to dream about Babb being 6-5 and knocking down the 3's like they are going out of style. Then you toss in Scott "Thug Life" Christopherson on the other side of the court draining 3's. If we don't make the tournament this year then the season is a failure in my book.

While I agree we should make the tournament, a lot of things could happen that we don't, which doesn't have to make the season a failure.

Im sick of seeing this on every thread. We are excited and making predictions on the season on the same reasons we were when all these guys came and the same reasons we were before the CCL and that reason is becasue we have alot of really good players and if we do not make the Big Dance with the talent we have it will be seen as most fans as a bad season.

Re: ***Championship Night at the YMCA CCL***
What I can tell you from CCL is Cyclones definitely dominated the whole thing. Not the players from Drake or any other small schools around here.
If we go from bottom feeder of big 12 (Thanks Gmac) to middle of the pack(if not the top half), I call that success!!

Every year (and this is no exception) I have to remind myself to quit opening & reading CCL threads.

What, you didn't like the Iowa fan that called him "That Little Nazi"?

Re: ***Championship Night at the YMCA CCL***
I've drawn the following conclusions from the league.
1. We have 8 guys that are solid players, 2 of which will be sitting out. In no particular order... White, Booker, Allen, Babb, Christopherson, Ejim, Lucious, and Clyburn.
2. McGee and Sledge are somewhere in the middle, but could be wrong.
3. Gibson, Palo, and Railey aren't there yet, but I hope one of the bigs makes me a liar.
If one of the bigs (and to a lesser extent, one of the guards) ends up joining that first group I think we've got a chance to be special, but with the 6 guys we have I think we're still an NCAA team. I really wish Lucious and Clyburn could play 2 years, but such is life.

Will be very good contributor this year.

He reminds me of Uncle Jake with his intensity and physical play. He is definitely not going to get pushed around by other B12 guards.

I hope he is, I just haven't seen enough of him to know for sure. If he isn't already in that group, I for sure think he's the best bet to join it.
