21-10 (9-9) is going to cause a lot of sweat on Selection Sunday. 10-8 in this conference will get us a 6-8 seed. The Big 12 will have the top RPI with the loss of CU and Nebraska IMO.
And really we could go 10-8 and win some games in the Big 12 tourney and move up to a 6 seed or higher as they obviously put a lot of weight on that

Re: mens basketball schedule
That Michigan game will be a hugely important game for early December.

Re: mens basketball schedule
We better not lose more than two non conference games. The only one I have doubts about is Michigan. I don't think it's a terrible schedule but it sure as hell ain't tough.

When you look at most schedules, most of the hard games teams play are in these tournaments. It would have been nice if there was another BCS school instead of Rice. Really screwed us over.

Georgetown didn't play a great non conference last year and was a 6 seed with a 10-8 conference record AND losing the 1st game of the Big East tournament. Actually, go and look at a lot of 6 seeds over the years and most are around 2 games over .500 in their conference

Georgetown had one of the best Non-Con SOS in the country, and THE best SOS overall on Sagarin.

Re: mens basketball schedule
I don't know how you can say a certain record will get us a seed either way right now. For all we know, Providence could be very good and Michigan will suck. It's hard to tell at this point.
