I love Hornacek, but if you're basing this on their college career, I think Gary Thompson would get the nod. Stinson was also an incredibly productive college player. For some reason Stinson draws a lot of negative comments from ISU fans, but he played with a broken hand two years in a row and was still an excellent player.
You might have to make some room for 1st Team All-American Gary Thompson. His team did beat Wilt the Stilt's Kansas Jayhawks. He was one of the greatest in ISU history. Hate to diss Hoiberg or Hornacek or even Tinsley, but man HOW can you leave him off?
I would also note that Gary Thompson was voted Athlete of the Year at ISU twice. And was chosen as the 1957 Player of the Year in the Big Seven Conference. Ahead of WILT Chamberlain.
