That is why Eamonn Brennan works for ESPN and is a respected writer/analyst and this other idiot works for cbs sports. Not sure about you, but cbs sports isn't exactly the first place I go for sports info.

Why is ESPN and CBS making a big deal of this? Every fan base has fans that over react... I guess I dont see what the big deal is... slow news cycle maybe...

Re: Big Royce White on ESPN

Good article. I love the national recognition that ISU is getting. I sure hope these transfers mimick the Willloughby, Cato, Bankhead, Pratt days of yesteryear. From all accounts, this team is hard working, focused, and ready to step on the court and prove that they aren't the misfits that some paint them to be.
Royce does have the potential to be right up there on a list of great Cyclones, just as much for his leadership as his skill set. I could see him as being a guy that younger kids look up to for both 1)what not to do, and 2) how to right the ship when you could just let it sink. Royce has done a 180. I hope every thing works out for him and he turns out to be as good as the hype.

Agree here. With this type of a finish too perhaps?

I would generally agree about CBS, with the exception of CBB. I think they usually do a nice job, and they cover it extensively year-round.

cbs' bball coverage is excellent. they've hired a ton of people and cover it just as well as espn these days.

Re: Big Royce White on ESPN

Regardless, ISU is getting some good "pub" already for this upcoming season. It's refreshing to say the least. This article senses that ISU and the loyalty from fans and alums deserve a "winner" again much like in the early 2000s when we were running this league with great talent at all positions. Royce needs to be big for us to get where we want to go, which is a shot at a Big 12 title and an invitation to the dance.

Brennan may be good, but "Cyclones" fan. Far from a journalism major, and I can profess that I am not the best with grammar, but wouldn't it be lifelong Cyclone fan? I wouldn't say I am a Longhorns fan, or a Red Raiders fan... Would I?

I actually think he is right, it's Cyclones because we are the Iowa State Cyclones not the Iowa State Cyclone.

Brennan does good work. He's an Iowa kid, a grad of Davenport Assumption High School, so it's good to see he hasn't forgotten about his home state.

He's right, it just sounds wrong which is why nobody says it that way.

    Is it RBI or RBIs?
