FIBA Championships - Lucca

I was watching Sportscenter and thought I saw Lucca standing next to Dirk, so I looked up a box score from the game and...sure enought, Lucca is playing for the German national team in the FIBA championships and actually getting some PT. Are others on here glad to see him having some success or still mad at him?

Nope... can't respect the guy for the way he left. At least Chizik did it during an offseason.

Yeah, I usually don't hold it against a player for leaving, but the way he left lost my respect for him.

Lucca was cool, until we found another white guy who was better at shooting the three, better at driving and finishing, quicker and a better ball handler, and he wasn't a Dbag who ditched his teammates midsseaon. I hope Lucca has a good career or whatever, but he isn't fit to carry Scottie C's jockstrap.

Do we know how Gmac figured into Lucca's decision? Keeping players was not one his strengths so who knows what happened.

Scottie is a much better defender as well.

I agree that this should be considered. Other players have not only gotten a free pass but even applauded by some posters for leaving. Leaving mid season is not ideal for the team, but who knows what McDermott did or said to him.

I'm not giving him a free pass, but it bears consideration.
