Re: Royce White is a large man
Yes and so is Booker, we will really have some size this season, Railey is also listed at 250 like Booker.

Its just great to see bulk in the middle again. Plus RW and Booker can fly, this is going to be fun come November

Does Agnew have any eligibility left?

Re: Royce White is a large man
Hopefully Clayburn can get up to 220/225lbs by next year, he will be a great weapon

Re: Royce White is a large man
we have some serious beef on the team this year. 4 guys at 245 or more that will play significant minutes:
Royce White 270#
Jordan Railey 250#
Anthony Booker 250#
Percy Gibson 245#
I found rosters online back to 1997, and we have never had more than 3 guys at 240+ on the roster at one time, much less all playing.
In fact, there have only been 5 players TOTAL since '97 that have played significant minutes with that much listed weight:
marcus fizer 6'8" 265#
jared homan 6'10" 250#
damion staple 6'7" 240#
jamie vanderbeken 6'11" 240#
justin hamilton 6'10" 255#

Go ahead and take JVB out of that, cuz he never used his size to his advantage. In essence he was a shooting guard trapped in a power forward/center's body

I think Percy will make some bigtime contributions his frosh year, similar to what Calvin did (although possibly in some different ways as I think they play the position of PF differently).

I heard from a very reliable source that Percy Gibson is better than the coaching staff anticipated. He will factor in this year.

Sometimes, these skinny guys like him play best at a low weight... it certainly hasn't hurt his rebounding or scoring (or to put it more accurately, they can't gain weight anyway).
I think Gibson is going to be a huge surprise, he put up some nice numbers on the Italy trip for a freshman big man.

Anyone else notice that Aaron Law is a native of Chapel Hill? So we traded one native son for another?
