This is setting up like the first year of Willoughby/Cato/Pratt et al. Picked last, finished first. It can (and has) been done.

I'm not greedy. If 5th is good enough for an NCAA bid, I'll take it. I hope my optimism is warrented.

I seem to recall seeing 200 to 1 for us in a previous thread. I think the first guy has it wrong. That's a stupid line from the casinos perspective, it would bankrupt them if something with that high of odds hit.

Sporting News yearbook has us 8th., based on 2 starters returning, and whether Freddie can make the "chemistry" connection. Meanwhile they pick KU second to Baylor because KU has 1 starter returning. The writer is from Kansas City, which makes a difference, but it's obvious none of these bball mags have been following Cyclone Fanatic message boards.

7th? I laugh at it. Pretty sure the team will too. This team is ready to prove everyone wrong and that ISU should and WILL be a major player in the NCAA for a long time under Freddy.
