This is my favorite time of year too. More excited this year for both football and basketball than I have been in a long time.

Does anyone know why we don't do a Midnight Madness event? Or do we and I just hadn't heard about it? Seems like it is a great thing for recruits and can even be opened up to the public to really get some hype going for the new year!

Because nothing good happens after midnight. In our case, after midnight the past several years when the season officially started nothing good happens for the next 5 months either.

I've got no problem being excited for basketball right now. I'm always excited for basketball.

A person can be excited for basketball without that implying that they are done with football. Some of us can be excited for more than one thing at once.

its funny, until al gore invented the internet, i thought all cyclone fans were 99% basketball fans and 1% football. considering the two sports performance throughout the 1980s early 1990s i had no idea there were fans who preferred football.
