Re: Dick Vitale calls Hoiberg "father Flanagan of coaching"
I love college basketball. Vitale loves college basketball. I love Vitale. It's a love triangle.

It's funny because Johnny and Dick are friends.

Dick wasn't being negative. I'm not a fan but it was harmless.

Me'h, not a big Dick fan - his schtick is old and predictable. But it's not real offensive ... Simplistic, but not negative.

I would say embrace it. I would love to start having teams hate us, that is when we know ISU basketball will be back.

Re: Dick Vitale calls Hoiberg "father Flanagan of coaching"
The only problem I have with the comment is that Babb, Booker, and Clyburn were never troubled. Allen got a glowing recommendation from Izzo. The only two transfers with a sniff of trouble were Royce and Korie. I don't like all of them being painted as 'troubled'.
This isn't directly related but I wish I would have kept a list of pundits and sports talk hosts (I am thinking especially of the not-missed Matty P) who were SURE that we would never see Royce (and the other transfers) in an Iowa State uniform. We are about 3 weeks away from the first game and it appears that we will see all of them in uniform. And all of them have not gotten into any trouble. Those kids are smart enough not to get caught, at least!
