Midnight Madness
Midnight madness, midnight madness, midnight madness. What qualifies a school to hold one? Why arn't we? I've addressed this in a post months ago. We could have a crazy dunk contest with Sledge, Allen, White etc. We could have a number of things to pump us up. If there were to be a year to kick off and get excited it'd be this year IMO.

Seems to me that Floyd did not like them because it was a wasted practice because it is more of a show for fans.
Do they still do the Cyclone Shoot Outs?

Another factor is bringing in recruits for them. It would have been nice for a friday night and had Okoro Niang and other recruits there. Might be a tiring stretch for a visit though.

Re: Midnight Madness
I somewhat think its kinda Minor League. But I do think we should have it. along with football peprallys

Re: Midnight Madness
I'd be for it if it coincided with a home football weekend for recruiting. Otherwise, meh.

Re: Midnight Madness
i think we should do it the weekend after, just to get a ton of recruits on campus easier.

Why are you posting the question on here? Nobody on here has any control over it. Why don't you email Pollard? Or stalk Fred for an answer?

Re: Midnight Madness
Wouldn't the usual Midnight Madness weekend be this upcoming one?
Seems like we are a little late.

Re: Midnight Madness
Midnight Madness is always done because teams can't practice until October 15th (this year) which begins at...midnight.

ESPNU will be broadcasting the events from UNC, Duke, Kentucky, UCONN, Syracuse, Baylor, A&M, Louisville, Kansas, Michigan St and Creighton starting at 6:00 pm CT.
Iowa State used to do this usually on a Saturday after a football game, but the events were usually terrible to be honest. Part of the reason, IMO was they combined it with the womens teams and then the event just never had any flow to it. Cut out the dunk contest for the last several.
