    Wesley Staten

Anyone know what's going on with Staten? Rivals still shows him with an ISU offer (his only offer listed). With Naz Long now on the radar, I'm assuming Fred moved on a long time ago?

HERSOM: Metro stars hold future for Hawks

    From the article:

Now, in a sport played by more than 545,000 American high school boys last winter, two of our high school seniors are rated among the nation's top 100 seniors. And, Bishop Heelan senior Wesley Staten, who has flirted with some of those top 100 lists in the last couple of years, might have made that three if not for an academic hiccup.
Obliged to sit out the first 30 days of Heelan's season because he failed a class last year -- a rule that leaves a little to be desired, in my view -- Staten vows to work just that much harder to prepare himself for an abbreviated senior year.

I've heard that he could look to go JUCO. Who knows though. I doubt he'll sign with Iowa State this year. With Naz Long in the picture, I just don't see it happening.

That is a relic of our old coach. I don't think we are on him anymore.

The cocky parents are worse than the athlete. I don't know anything about this situation but definitely have seen a few of those.

He could have easily gotten around that rule if he wanted to, all he had to do was run cross country or something in the Fall, he would have served his suspension in that sport and wouldn't have had to miss any basketball.
