I used to have the ESPN insider access. There are some good articles, but if it regards [ISU] recruiting, you'll hear it here first. Usually by several days.
Reporting the Naz Long story that has been reported here already. Not missing anything by not being an "insider"...rip-off in my opinion!
It is a ripoff if you are only trying to follow ISU. While I don't use my insider status often, it does give you the opportunity to more opinion blogs and information about teams you follow less. It also can help a lot with fantasy sports. Considering you can get ESPN the magazine and Insider for about $.40 per month if you wait for the right deal I wouldn't exactly call it a rip off!

I use my father's account to read through it and I do agree about the blogs being worth reading. I guess I was referring to the "rumors" section...nothing breaks in that section...all of the rumors are linked to local newspapers. I should have been more clear...sorry...to pay for the "rumors" section is a ripoff!
That said...I am not at all impressed with ESPN the Magazine either...

That is true about the magazine. I probably average 2 articles per magazine. Their body issue is interesting but kind of nasty at the same time. I would never pay full price for what they offer. I think I received two years of each for about $6.00.

And that is even on the high side sometimes, I've seen it a couple times for renewal of $1/year...
I wouldn't pay for an Insider subscription either. I'd activate the free subscription that came with ESPNdaMag, but except for the first and last 20 pages that magazine is for the most part crap as well.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
