So let me get this straight -
His academic eligibility has not yet been cleared, but he has signed the financial aid agreement, which is what Niang, Okoro, and SDW will sign in the Nov signing period, correct?
If so, why can he sign early? Is it because he is intending to join at the semester break?
When is he eligible to start in an ISU uni? 12-13 season I would assume?
He'll be on the team for Spring semester, and could play, but he said he won't play this year.
Naz seems (almost) as enthusiastic as Georges. I wonder how good at baking cookies his mom is...:spinny:
It's nice to see recruits so enthusiastic they seem to be unable to wait to get on campus. It makes me hopeful that we won't see regular defections of players (who are seeing playing time!) under Freddy.
Okay, so now that it's official, would someone compare his ballhandling to, say, Jamaal Tinsley?
And it would be nice to see some video footage that was more recent than 2010...
He's not as good at ball handling as Jamaal.
Insert above comment for every PG that ISU recruiits for the next 20 years.
It feels good to have a recruit
1.) commit before they take other planned visits, in this case Dayton
2.) commit while on their visit.
Some clarification that I've dug up today.
Here's the deal. Because of the fact that Long plans on being on campus this January, IF that happens, he'd technically be a member of last year's recruiting class, not 2012. That's why he is allowed to sign the financial aid agreement now and the 2012 prospects cannot.
Does anyone have his stats from last year at Findlay Prep? The school website has some information, but not individual stats. The website -- Findlay Prep Basketball -- does tell us that he didn't lead the team in any statistical category, but then again they had a PG who was a McDonald's all american.
