Tinsley
Jamaal Tinsley to Enter NBA D-League Draft | LostLettermen.com
I loved the guy when he was here in Ames but he has sure screwed up his life in the NBA. I read somewhere that he was perfectly healthy and could have played but the team kept him out of the locker room as much as possible because he was such a cancer. Either way, hope he gets it figured out

Re: Tinsley
Nice picture with the article. Brings back a flood of bad memories. **** Hampton.

Re: Tinsley
Mother****er got paid a **** ton of money after that game, and it wasn't from the NBA.

Re: Tinsley
I hope he hasn't blown the millions he has made in the NBA. 40,000,000 is a pretty good NBA career.

Re: Tinsley
i know he made a lot of mistakes, but dude was sure fun to watch play when he was here at ISU. Some of the things he did made me think I was watching a Harlem Globtrotters game.

Re: Tinsley
I would absolutely love, LOVE for Iowa Energy to pick him up. I love seeing Stinson play when I go watch the Energy play.

"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr -
Re: Tinsley
In reply to ZJohnson... The whole team was playing like **** and on fumes for 3 weeks prior to that game... If Jamaal alone blew that game then he is somehow a genius and magican to make his entire team miss shots and rebound for several consecutive games. And the missed layup? It missed by a millimeter. Again, must be a magician...

Again, must be a magician... Not saying I believe any of this stuff. But I'm sure we were at least ten point favorites in that game, so by the time he shot the lay up, whether he made it or not would have been inconsequential, Hampton would have already covered.

Someone else would need to look up the specifics, but in the Missouri game in Columbia there were some very suspicious free throw misses by tinsley to barely not cover. Something like 8 of 10 down the stretch.

Again, must be a magician... The tools to beat the great shot blocker Tarvis Williams and Hampton were on that team, but it spent all season in Larry's doghouse. Tyrae Pearson was put in for about 2 minutes in the second half after Paul Shirley was through wetting himself, dumped in 6 points on Tarvis Williams, putting us back in the lead, and was promptly sent to the bench. When Larry had to play him the following year, he was a 20/10 guy. I realize you can hate someone, but he could have gotten us into the second round at least.

Larry obviously didn't see it that way or he would have played him more.
