    it doesn't help that your AD that new everybody at the NCAA was forced to step down, and now they don't have the eyes turned the other way in recruiting matters.
    The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

    That couldn't be further from the truth. Our former AD made a ton of enemies. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that the former top recruits had to earn their playing time and weren't able to just step on the floor and play. The current top recruits feel they should step in as freshman play and then go to the league.

    old Lew had enemies, but his friends were in the right places.
