Meltdown mode complaint thread

Since we're in meltdown mode anyways, i figured this'd be a good time to air the grievances we have right now, just get em out of our system.

Mine:

Major:
1. The raised entries to hilton. These are embarrassing and have been for at least a few years now. Concrete falling apart, broken light fixtures, etc. This is the gateway to one of the top 2 ISU places, and it looks like absolute crap. This needs to be fixed yesterday.

More minor complaints:
2. Zombie nation before tip. The whole crowd is going, clapping to the jock jams song we've played for 20 years, and then we fade to nothing and then start zombie nation. It sucks the air completely out of the crowd right before tip.

3. What was up with music during the UNI player announcements tonight? And lets get back to just 5 claps. I'm not some old fogie, its much more effective to just have 5 claps then silence. Sort of a 'we're going to give you the most basic level of respect, and that's it'

4. In game promos in general. Does anything suck the air more than these? Also, is there an inability among CA members to play tic-tac-toe? I know we've gotta make money, but damn, they really take the crowd out.

5. The cyclone jukebox guy. Are you drunk when you make these videos?

Please tell me they did not take away 5 claps for the visitor introduction. I will be as devestated as when they switched to jingling keys during kickoffs instead of the tornado motion

The first one was bad but at least it was a spur of the moment type of video. He's just trying waaaay to hard on the last couple videos he has done.

These. I remember once or twice when the crowd was absolutely jacked after a run in the mid 2nd half and after roaring for a good 20 seconds it went straight to silence and an ad on the jumbotron. THAT is when we need Sandstorm/other good pump up music.

It seems like games today have about 10 times as many in game ads and promos as they did back when I was a freshman. These completely kill the game and athletics needs to find some way to make money other than running a bunch of commercials over the bigscreen during breaks. These abso*******ilutely kill the crowd, more than anything else.

UNI did a good job playing from timeout to timeout. Once we would finally get going there would be a tv timeout. UNI would make adjustments at those breaks and once again shut us down for the next 2-3 minutes.

Also, I'm disappointed. I thought this was going to be a thread about how people don't need to start 5 million meltdown threads just for their one point and should stick to one big postgame thread until at least tomorrow morning.

Can we meltdown about meltdowns? They're ridiculous and pointless. People need to freak out a little less. We're fanatics, yes, but we're not the team. Complaining about it won't fix things. Some people need a little perspective. If this was the 2002 team, then it's appropriate to freak out, but it's not. This is not a great team, yet. It could be, but it's still early. The team knows what happened tonight, and they'll work to fix it. Calm the hell down, people.
