Iowa basketball has won ONE NCAA Tournament game since Tom Davis left...if they don't wanna play us anymore, it's too bad for the rivalry, but that's it.
We've been the better program for the last 15-20 years, and that shows on the court head to head, and post-season wise, and we will continue to be the better program. If Francis wants to replace us with 3 more Campbell's or IPFW's, then good riddance as far as I'm concerned.
The programs have been pretty equal the last 15-20 years. ISU has had higher highs, but under Davis Iowa was more consistant.
The gap in our economy is between what we have and what we think we ought to have--and that is a moral problem, not an economic one. - Paul Heyne
We've had higher highs, they've had lower lows, and we have a better head to head record in that time period...and the current and future situation looks better for us with or without Iowa on the schedule.

What is the overall head to head the last 20 years? ISU has been pretty low the last 5 years. CFH still has a lot to prove as HC.

Yep we've been the better program in that period, not world beaters. But better than Iowa. Don't know how people can argue against that.
Over the last 20 years we are 11-10 against the Hawks with one of their wins being a postseason NIT win over us. If we win tomorrow night it'll be 7 of the last 11 over the Hawks, and 4 of the last 5...not that it's anything to brag about or that we've been world beaters, but the Hawks could use us more in basketball right now than we could use them. They are looking at AT LEAST two more years before they can even be a respectable opponent.
This thread and the identical one on HawkeyeNation are kind of pathetic.
Clearly being in a BCS conference means a lot in basketball. And UNI has been the best program in the state for a few years now, so maybe they deserve a home game.
Also in the last 20 years we are 9-8 in the NCAA tournament with 2 conference regular season championships and Iowa is 6-7 in the big dance with 0 conference titles. We both have 2 conference tournament titles during that time.
