Why I love Iowa fans
Because they are so predictable.
We have team day at the office on Fridays. Not a single stitch of Hawkeye apparel to be seen. The few I've talked to claim they didn't know there was a game tonight and aren't interested in watching.

I'd be embarrassed to wear that crap too.

Ignorance is bliss. With this group, that should be a given.... "There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr -

Common theme at my work too. Hawk fans hiding under the disguise of the unaware, love it.

Hopefully Royce and the boys play at their full potential tonight.

I can't wait until their football team continues their decline and we get to deal with less and less of them.

Re: Why I love Iowa fans
Thing is, though, neither basketball team has been great the past few years. Mike Hlas, from the Gazette, wrote an article last year detailing how that was the least hype he'd ever seen for the Iowa State-Iowa basketball game, as both programs were so down. Interesting perspective, and I actually kind of agree with him. The hype won't come back fully until at least one team is a sure tournament team.

I know Hawk "fans" that stop paying attention as soon as they lose more than 1 game in a football season. The worst part for them is that ISU is looking better so they can't even bring us down with their ship ha

Re: Why I love Iowa fans
Honestly, I think the Iowa fans in my office really aren't aware of the game. They've basically given up completely on basketball to the point that they don't follow it at all.

I like Hlas, he is a pretty good journalist IMO.

Thing is, me and the other 8k diehards that have been showing up at Hilton year after year for the past 6 years realize the season isn't over till we lose in the Big 12 Tournament. Point being, CYCLONE FANS RULE!!!!!!!!!

Re: Why I love Iowa fans
Hawk fans here already cashed in the season. They're expecting to get routed tonight.
