I haven't noticed the crowd being loud this season anyway. we have one of the quietest home crowds in the country. Boring in hilton, and super boring on tv. Hilton magic is dead. I don't think the weather report has anything to do with it. If you ask me they should stop all those stupid things they do on the scoreboard. kiss cam? muscle cam? applebees crap? It should all be scrapped for some real cheering.

Don't get me wrong. I completely understand and respect the fact that Iowa State needs to make money and that KCCI pays for that space. When I brought it up in my article, it was meant more as a tongue and cheek poke at the fact that so far this season, that ad's timing has been the WORST, to the fault of nobody.

During the UNI game we were a 6-0 run and the crowd was getting into it and then Jacobsen called a timeout and the crowd was pretty loud then they put the weather on which completely just shut the crowd up. After the timeout UNI went on a 5-0 run i think. If we play a song that gets the crowd into it I think we keep the momentum and go on an even bigger run and possibly win that game. Crowd noise has a lot to do with how visiting teams perform. They need to simply do the weather at halftime. How much is the weather actually going to change from halftime to the 8 minute mark in the second half. Probably not a whole lot. They need to get a clue.
